Everything from street lights to faxes could be impacted when the calendar turns to 2000. Because of the way computers recognize dates, on Jan. 1 many computers will recognize the date as Jan. 1, 1900. Experts predict the year 2000 will likely affect everyone in some way.

Representatives from investment companies, banks, local and state governments, will discuss Y2K issues at the 6 to 8 p.m. meeting.
