Essner's Custom Butchering and Processing of Scott City has won two places in a statewide contest held during the Missouri Association of Meat Processor's 40th annual convention and trade show at Columbia.
The Scott City company won first place in the category on whole muscle jerky and second place or reserve champion on ground and formed jerky.
