ShopKo Stores Inc. has announced fiscal 1998 earnings. Sales for the 52-week period ending Jan. 30 were $2.9 billion, up 15 percent over sales of $2.5 billion during the same period a year ago. ShopKo will open operations at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau and Kentucky Oaks Mall in Paducah next month in former Venture store sites.
