BUSINESS MEMO: SBA LENDING PARTNERS

Boatmen's National Bank of St. Louis heads the Small Business Administration list of top 10 lending partners in the number of SBA guaranteed loan approvals to small businesses in the St. Louis Eastern Missouri District during the fiscal year ending Sept. 30.

The top 10 lending partners account for more than 42 percent, or $35.7 million in 368 transactions, of all the loan guarantees extended by SBA during 1995 in the 54-county area.

Boatmen's has loaned more than $8.9 million in SBA transactions. Other banks and amounts of SBA loans: Magna Bank, N.A., $4.8 million; Commerce Bank of St. Louis, $3.6 million; Allegiant Bank, St. Louis, $3.5 million; Mercantile Bank of St. Louis, $3.9 million; First Bank, Creve Couer, $1.7 million; Union Planters Bank of Mid-Missouri, $2.7 million; Central Trust Bank, Jefferson City, $2.4 million; The Money Store Investment Corp., $3.1 million; and Meramec Valley Bank, Valley Park, $947,490.
