An organic farming workshop, sponsored by the University of Missouri Outreach and Extension office, and the College of Agriculture at Southeast Missouri State University, will be held Saturday.
The daylong, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., workshop will be held in Rooms 112 and 116 at Magill Hall at the Southeast Missouri State University.
A $7.50 registration fee includes lunch.
Farmers, gardeners and people interested in organic farming are urged to attend the session.
A number of speakers will address organic topics such as certification, organically raised livestock and marketing of organic vegetables. Farmers Steve McKaskle of Braggadocio and Carroll Montgomery of Dexter will discuss organic field production.
