The Work Connections programs, federally funded and available throughout the state, help workers as they make the transition between jobs. The program offers possibilities of classroom training, on-the-job training, job-search assistance and access to various community services.

Layoffs have started. Boeing announced recently that as many as 7,000 workers will be released over the next two years.
