BUSINESS MEMO: HEADS INVESTMENT SURVEY

Edward D. Jones & Co. has been rated first in a national survey of nine investment companies by Registered Representative magazine.

Jones scored higher than other investment companies in the environment, support, product and management categories.

Survey results are based on anonymous telephone interviews with 50 brokers from each company. The brokers rate their companies on such factors as overall ethics, freedom from pressure to sell certain products, quote and information systems and quality of research.

Overall, Jones received a 9.05 of a possible 10 points.

Jones is one of the largest financial service firms and has more than 3,100 branch offices in 49 states. Cape Girardeau offices are at 215 N. Sprigg and 1749-I Independence.
