The funds were raised and designated to the veterans home by the bank's Investors' Club, during a patriotic "Star Spangled" picnic for club members.

The check was presented to Pam Klaus, director of therapeutic recreation services at the veterans home by bank president R. David Crader.
A special tribute to veterans from all branches of the armed forces was included during the picnic.
Terry and Paul Edwards, Newman Fair and the Bill Fischer Family provided entertainment during the picnic.
