Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty helped "celebrate America" over the Memorial Day holiday, placing more than 800 flags in various residential areas in Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

Special displays were also placed along the Olympic Torch Route on Highway 61 in Cape Girardeau and Jackson.

Martha Hamilton, broker/owner, said agents started placing the flags at 5 a.m. on Memorial Day. Among those taking part in the promotion were Art Blaylock, office manager at the Jackson office, and agents Ken Kiefer, Mary Arendt, Pamela Counts, Bill Stovall, Janet Wilkins, Harriet Drusch, Marilyn Ostendorf, Liz Abernathy and George Callis.
