U.S. Tool Grinding, Inc., which provides resharpening services to major aircraft manufacturing companies in the United States and Canada, was founded in 1958, and has grown from four employees to more than 400. The new expansion will add another 25 workers.

Eric Scott Leathers, Ltd., which produces business accessories -- binders, card cases, luggage tags and note pads -- will produce checkbooks at the Farmington site. The company's original plant is in St. Genevieve. The expansion will create 25 new jobs.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) has approved a $412,225 industrial infrastructure through the Community Development Block Grant program for the city of Farmington, to be used for road, water and sewer line improvements to the expansions.
