The UARCO Building, which previously housed the UARCO Office Paper Products plant, was constructed in 1980. The company, a manufacturer of stock paper products, closed the plant, which employed 120 people, in late 1997, citing economic reasons for the closures.

The building is owned by Standard Register Co., which purchased the building last year.
