KFVS-12 received four first-place awards at the Missouri Broadcasters Association awards held in Kansas City. The award presentations, for television and radio stations, were held last month.
The Cape Girardeau television station received first place for Best Promotion for spots promoting Teach Me To Read; Best Children's Programming for Mary-Ann's Heartland Kids series and Best Newscast for Heartland News.
KFVF12 also won first place in the Griffin Award, presented for outstanding all-around community service.
