A.G. Edwards has reported record revenues and earnings for 1999.
For the fiscal year that ended Feb. 29, net earnings were $383 million, up 31 percent from the 1998 fiscal revenues of $292 million. Revenues for 1999 were $2.8 billion, versus $2.2 billion last year.
Earnings per share rose to a record $4.08, compared to $3 in 1998.
For the fourth quarter, the company reported net earnings of $101 million, on revenues of $595 million, or $1.11a share. These figures are up from the $76 million in 1998.
A.G. Edwards, a financial services holding company, with headquarters in St. Louis, operates 672 offices in 49 states, the District of Columbia, and London.
