The office of university relations at Southeast Missouri State University recently won several awards in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education District 6 awards competition and the Admissions Marketing Report Advertising awards competition.
University relations won three CASE awards: a gold award in excellence in multimedia for a recruitment video, a silver award in external audience tabloid/ newsletter for the "On Campus" publication, and a bronze award for excellence in multimedia.
At the 20th annual Admissions Advertising Awards, the office received a gold award in total public relations program for a River Campus booklet. The Alumni Signal received a silver award in the newsletter category.
The Small Business Development Center of Southeast Missouri State University will conduct counseling sessions for area small-business people planning business ventures. The counselor, Gil Degenhardt, will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 16 at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, 1267 N. Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau. Degenhardt will also offer a session from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at the Southeast Regional Planning Commission, 1 W. St. Joseph St. in Perryville. Call (573) 547-8357.
