Carrington House, an outlet for factory direct furniture, has opened at 301 Broadview in Cape Girardeau. The owners are Art and Kathy Ramsey.

Country Shade Craft Mall has opened at 8 Plaza Way in Cape Girardeau. The owners are Erma Thomas, Mary Keller and Janet Hahs.

Sweet Peas, a clothing and gift shop, has opened at 34 N. Main. The owner is Joni Welker.

Varieties, a novelties store, has opened at 36 N. Main. The owner is Matt Taylor.

CiCi's Pizza has opened at 221 Broadview. The owners are Chip and Debbie Peterson.

Boutiques that have recently opened downtown are Jenny Annie's, The Korner Mercantile, Friends of Country, Mother 2 Bee and Potters Will.

First State Community Bank is expanding and will double its size at its Columbia Street location.

New members of the Chamber of Commerce are Jenny Annie's, The Korner Mercantile, Martin Painting Contractors, Crawford Properties, Keeping You In Stitches, Mannco -- Meineke Car Care Center.

Mail Boxes, Etc. in Mineral Area Shopping Center is now the UPS Store. United Parcel Service bought Mail Boxes, Etc., an international mailing business, in April 2000, but only recently made changes. The owner of the UPS Store is Steve Hayes.

JACKSON

Touch of Wellness, which specializes in massage therapy, has opened at 810 E. Jackson Blvd. The owner is Ashley Gilder.
