Big River Telephone, a local provider of telecommunication solutions for business and residential users headquartered in Cape Girardeau, has announced the release of the area's newest telephone book.
The company, in conjunction with Hometown Directories, is delivering more than 40,000 White and Yellow Page phone books to the Cape Girardeau community.
The phone book has several unique attributes. It is a smaller-size book that could fit easily into a glove compartment of a vehicle and has easy to read large print. Another attribute is the book's Cross Reference Section. This section allows a person to look up a phone number and find out who made the call.
"This is just another way Big River Telephone is able to fulfill its promise to deliver real service to the community," said Kevin Cantwell, president of Big River Telephone. "This phone book has really been a hit with our customers."
Marketing director Meredith White said telephone books are being distributed by employees of Big River Telephone and Hometown Directories. The Cape Chamber of Commerce also has them.
Big River Telephone brings network service solutions to Eastern Missouri, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky. The Cape-based company operates a regional fixed wireless network that delivers local, long distance, data and Internet services to the region.
