Beverly Healthcare purchased; new name is The Manor

Don Bedell, CEO, and Brad Bedell, president of Health Facilities Management Corp. of Sikeston, have announced the purchase of the Beverly Healthcare Facility in Poplar Bluff. The new name of the facility is The Manor of Poplar Bluff.

Health Facilities Management Corp. is a nursing home management company with 34 nursing facilities in Missouri, Arkansas and Arizona. Bedell is the current president of the Missouri Healthcare Association.

Also under the corporate umbrella is Home Advantage Home Health and In-Home Services with offices in Poplar Bluff, Sikeston and Cape Girardeau. Therapy services are provided by a sister company, Health Facilities Rehab, with offices in Sikeston, Portageville and New Madrid. They provide outpatient services as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Bedell announced that Patty Norman will stay as administrator, and Bryan Wilcox is the new director of nursing.

The Manor of Poplar Bluff will provide the community with skilled nursing services, short convalescent visits for rehab, dialysis, chemotherapy, radiation treatments, respite and hospice care.
