According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevrolet southbound on Highway 25 driven by John Tracy, 54, of Friedheim, Mo., was slowing for another vehicle when a 2004 GMC driven by James Brown, 58, of Grover, Mo., rear-ended Tracy's vehicle because he could not stop in time.

Injured were the passengers in both cars: Elwanda Brown, 75, of Grover and Audrey Tracy, 75, of Friedheim. Both were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment of moderate injuries.
