Three people were injured in an accident late Saturday morning on highway 25, two miles south of Delta.

In a 2004 GMC, driver James Brown, 58, of Grover, Mo., received serious injures and passenger Elwanda Brown, 75, of Grover, received moderate injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau.

In a 2004 Chevrolet, passenger Audrey Tracy, 75, of Freidheim, Mo., received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center. Driver John Tracy, 54, of Friedheim received no injuries.

The accident occurred as James Brown's southbound vehicle was slowing for another vehicle. John Tracy's vehicle could not stop in time and rearended James Brown. All victims were wearing seatbelts.

The accident was reported by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop E of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
