William Witzel, 18, was transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center after he was ejected from a 1995 Pontiac driven by 16-year-old Tevis Melton of Sikeston.
Melton was southbound on Highway 91 when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.
