Cape Girardeau
The following items were released Saturday by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
DWIs
* A subject was in custody pending filing of formal charges of driving while intoxicated, improper registration, driving while revoked, no insurance and careless and imprudent driving.
* Michael K. McCallum, 23, 9 N. Park St., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, no proof of insurance and driving an unlicensed vehicle.
Arrests
* Aaron V. Varnado, 36, was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and on Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to appear.
* Carla L. Westbrook, 35, 522 S. Ellis St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for animal neglect and on suspicion of resisting arrest and assault of a law enforcement officer.
* Thomas W. Wilcox, 34, 1927 N. Kingshighway, was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for traffic violations.
* Stephen D. Flye, 33, 903 S. Sprigg St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for assault.
* Jerome Merriweather, 47, 522 S. Ellis St., was arrested on an Alexander County, Ill., warrant for failure to appear.
* Mark A. Brand, 17, 313 N. Fountain St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for assault.
* Leon I. Nelson, 48, 29 S. Sprigg St. No. 5, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
* Joshua A. Gholson, 19, 849 Clark Ave., was arrested on suspicion of stealing.
* Kiya C. Curry, 33, 514 Olive St., was arrested on a Charleston, Mo., warrant for open container.
* Katrina A. Pehm, 23, of Benton, Mo., and Sylvia R. Austin, 22, 1400 S. West End Blvd., were arrested on suspicion of assault.
* Robert E. Simmons, 26, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Mississippi County warrant for failure to appear.
* Kelly C. Vines, 21, of Jackson, was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Summons
* Jerry L. Warren Jr., 23, 17 S. Ellis St., was issued a summons for urinating in public.
Assault
* Assault was reported at 1729 New Madrid St.
Thefts
* Scrap metal was reported stolen at 721 Beaudean Lane.
* Gasoline was reported stolen at Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St.
* A drum set was reported stolen at 415 Emerald St.
Property damage
* A vehicle was reported damaged at 1111 Themis St.
Miscellaneous
* Harassment was reported at 1900 William St.
* A 22-year-old woman was taken into protective custody.
* A 23-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
* Trespassing was reported at 2425 N. Cape Rock Drive.
