DWIs

* Jason R. Welker, 22, of 8217 Route N, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and noise violation.

* A subject was custody pending formal charges for DWI, no seat belt, failure to stay in a single lane, no secure rear registration, no proof of insurance, failure to stop at a stop sign, no driver's license and probation violation.

* A subject was custody pending formal charges for DWI, possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended and failure to stay on right half of the road.

Arrests

* Mark E. Brazel, 33, of 115 Deal St., Charleston, Mo., was arrested on Cape Girardeau County warrants for tampering with a witness and driving under the influence.

* Bartolome Quinta, 25, of 301 N. Lorimier St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation.

* Carl R. Cartwright, 32, of Parkwood Estate 154, was arrested on a Mississippi County warrant for passing bad checks and a Scott County warrant for probation violation.

* A 19-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

* A 33-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

* A 74-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

Summonses

* Jeromy L. Hart, 25, of 2863 Whitener St., Apt. A2, was issued a summons on suspicion of noise violation.

Assaults

* A second-degree assault was reported at Independence Street and West End Boulevard.

* A third-degree assault was reported at 5 S. Henderson Ave.

Thefts

* Stealing and property damage were reported at Approved Auto, 402 S. Kingshighway.

* Money and checks were reported stolen from 1211 College St.

* A Kenwood CD player was reported stolen from 921 Bloomfield St.

* A chain saw and lawn edger were reported stolen from 380 N. Park.

* Gasoline was reported stolen from Rhodes 101, 1610 N. Kingshighway.

* Money was reported stolen from Ladies Foot Locker, 137 West Park Mall.

* Clothing was reported stolen from J.C. Penney, 200 West Park Mall.

* Gasoline was reported stolen from BP D-Mart, 3276 William St.

* Fraudulent use of a bank card was reported at 388 N. Henderson Ave.

Miscellaneous

* A disorderly house was reported at 512 N. Sprigg St.
