Cape Girardeau
The following items were released Monday by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
DWIs
* Robert Dean Ervin, 55, 605 Charlotte St., Jackson was issued a summons for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and striking a stopped vehicle.
* Megan Christine Yant, 19, 21069 State Highway 177, Jackson, was issued a summons for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia.
* Rhonda Jane Ruch, 43, 559 N. Spring St., was issued a summons on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, driving without headlights and no proof of insurance.
Arrests
* A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of patronizing prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment.
* Joseph Michael Jackman, 25, 203 Franks Lane, was arrested on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of interfering with arrest and trespassing, and was issued a summons on suspicion of assault.
* John Otis Miller, Jr., 20, 1475 Kingsway, and April Austin, 22, 3707 Highland Ave., Cairo, Ill., were both arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
* A subject is in custody pending the filing of a formal charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
* David King Pierce, 39, 805 S. Benton St., was arrested on a city warrant for contempt of court.
Theft
* Burritoville, 913 Broadway, reported a burglary and missing cash.
* A credit card was reported stolen from 340 S. Sprigg St.
* A date book was reported stolen from a vehicle at 2801 Bloomfield Road.
Miscellaneous
* Huck's, 353 S. Kingshighway, reported the fraudulent use of a credit card.
* Wal-Mart, 3439 William St., reported the fraudulent use of a credit card.
MSHP
A Marble Hill teenager sustained minor injuries at 12:12 p.m., Sunday on Highway 34 just east of Glenallen.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lotte Cook, 16, lost control of the 2000 Pontiac she was driving when she failed to negotiate a curve. The car ran off the left side of the road, hit a large rock and overturned down an embankment. Police issued a summons for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
Cook was taken to Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau for treatment of her injuries.
Two Jackson residents sustained moderate injuries Sunday on County Road 550 four miles east of Fruitland.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1998 Chevrolet driven by Candice Cowan, 22, of Jackson ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
Cowan and a passenger in the car, Allen MacDonald, 40, were both taken to Saint Francis Medical Center.
A Chaffee, Mo., woman and two children escaped serious injury around 11:30 a.m. Sunday when the driver lost control of the 2003 Ford Taurus they were in on wet road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on County Road 205 a mile south of Cape Girardeau.
Kimberley Harper, 25, apparently skidded off the right side of the roadway struck a concrete bridge abutment and overturned. Harper and two passengers in the car, Kaleb Harper, 3, and Seth Harper, 5, also of Chaffee, sustained minor injuries. Responding to the accident were the Cape Girardeau Police, and the Cape Girardeau and Gordonville fire departments.
A Perryville, Mo., man received minor injuries when a flatbed tractor trailer rig pulled into his path on Route B south of I-55.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marvin Sikes, 52, of Portageville, Mo., pulled his 2001 Freightliner truck out of a driveway into the path of a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by 82-year-old Herman Wibbenmeyer of Perryville. Wibbenmeyer struck the truck, and was taken to Perry County Hospital.
