Arrests

  • A 14-year-old was taken into custody for a fireworks violation in the 1100 block of Ranney Avenue.
  • A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody for a fireworks violation in the 1100 block of Ranney Avenue.
  • A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody for a fireworks violation at Broadway and Houck Place.
  • A 14-year-old boy was taken into custody for a curfew violation in the 400 block of Hanover Street.
  • A subject was taken into custody pending the filing of formal charges on suspicion of driving while revoked at U.S. 61 and Broadway.

Assault

  • Third-degree domestic assault was reported.

Theft

  • A go-cart was reported stolen at 823 N. Clark Ave.
  • Rhodes 101, 449 S. Kings-highway, reported a theft of chewing tobacco.
  • Macy's, 100 West Park Mall, reported the theft of an earring and underwear. Tara R. Volkerding, 17, of Cape Girardeau received a summons in connection with the incident.

Property damage

  • A vehicle was reported damaged in the 2200 block of Brookwood Drive.

Arson

  • Second-degree arson was reported at Lowes & Drusch at 2913 Independence St.

  • Multiple juveniles were cited for a fireworks violation at 1714 Montgomery St.
  • A bicycle was reported found at 1713 Rampart St.
  • Property was reported found in the 1000 block of South Sprigg Street.
  • A 55-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • A fireworks violation was reported at Ellis and Locust streets.
  • There was a request for service at 131 S. Hanover St.
  • A 55-year-old man was taken into protective custody.

  • Jamie Renee Carrier, 40, 1204 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of assault.
  • William Lee Klingel, 48, 1204 E. Main St., was arrested on suspicion of assault.
