Cape Girardeau

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Korey W. King of 1054 N. Clark Ave., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for driving while intoxicated.

Arrests

  • Terry W. McGill, 45, of 616 Elm St., was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.
  • A subject was in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of possessing marijuana and crack cocaine.
  • Emmanuel T. Ware, 27, of 1431 Merriwether St., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and costs for delivery or concealment of contraband; for contempt of court for failure to pay find and costs for failure to appear for probation revocation on driving while suspended; and for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and costs for failure to appear for driving while suspended and improper registration.
  • Two subjects were in custody pending filing of formal charges for peace disturbance and resisting arrest.
  • Mark A. Marks, 18, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Lionel L. Dixon, 23, of 539 Asher St., was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance.
  • Tynell J. Shaw, 32, of 1017 Locust St., was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance.
  • Grevil P. Chavez, 17, of 228 S. Ellis St., Apt. A, was arrested on three Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine for no proof of insurance, no operator's license and no proof of insurance.

Summonses

  • Lester C. Burger, 69, 1109 S. Benton St., rear apartment, received a summons for allowing his dog to bite another person.
  • Zechariah L. James, 29, of 621 S. Henderson Ave., received a summons for prohibited acts, noise violation.

Assaults

  • Two assaults were reported.

Thefts

  • Two checkbooks were reported stolen from a vehicle.
  • A cellular telephone was reported stolen at 2530 William St.
  • A wallet was reported stolen at 3439 William St.
  • A blue 2004 motorcycle was reported stolen at 19 N. Spanish St.
  • A lawn mower, gas can and trimmers were reported stolen at 823 Bellevue St.
  • A vehicle window was reported broken and money was reported stolen at 911 Stonebridge Drive.
  • Valve caps were reported stolen at 55 N. Pind Wood Lane.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.

Property damage

  • A plastic swimming pool was reported damaged at 501 S. Henderson St.
  • First Christian Church, 2411 Abbey Road, reported that the church doors had been spray painted.
  • A vehicle window was reported broken at 110 N. Park Ave.
  • A vehicle window was reported broken and a wallet and money were reported stolen at 411 Penrod Place.

Miscellaneous

  • Fleeing lawful detention and improper registration was reported.
  • A violation of an ex parte order of protection was reported.
  • Harassment by telephone was reported.
  • A 36-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
  • Failure to maintain a property free of trash was reported.

  • Jason A. Smith, 18, of 2406 Windy Hill Lane, Cape Girardeau, was arrested on suspicion of assault on a law enforcement officer.
  • David M. Purkey, 18, of 1512 Bessie St. was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

Summons

  • Michael G. Schroeder, 20, of 324 Hillview St., Cape Girardeau, received a summons for trespassing, failure to maintain insurance and failure to register a motor vehicle.

Theft

  • A theft was reported in the 100 block of North Georgia Street.

Miscellaneous

  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 500 block of North Farmington Road.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 400 block of South Shawnee Boulevard.
  • Four reports of fights in progress on North High Street were received.
  • A fight in progress was reported in the 100 block of Court Street.
  • A fight in progress was reported in the 500 block of South Hope Street.
  • A peace disturbance was reported in the 800 block of East Adams Street.

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Lisa A. Goodson, 44, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right side of the roadway causing a threat of an accident and endangering the welfare of a child.
  • Larry W. Haffner, 55, of Marble Hill, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Arrests

  • Shannon R. Bandy, 17, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for two counts of contempt of court.
  • Jessica L. Calhoun, 19, of Dexter, Mo., was arrested on a Stoddard County warrant for passing a bad check, a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear for passing bad checks and a New Madrid County warrant for passing a bad check.
  • Jason D. Bates, 26, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of driving while revoked.
  • Charles A. Griffith, 37, of Oak Ridge was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for two counts of child abuse.
  • Dorothy M. Watkins, 41, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for stealing.
  • Theresa J. Morgan, 29, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for passing bad checks and a Miller County warrant for passing bad checks.
  • Tina M. Jones, 45, of Whitewater was arrested on a Scott County warrant for passing bad checks.
  • Dallis F. Comer, 46, of Delta was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Summonses

  • Christopher C. Moyers, 18, received a summons for minor in possession of alcohol.
