The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Otis D. Rutherford, of 630 S. Benton St., was arrested on two Cape Girardeau County warrants for domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
  • Alexis A. Wicks, 17, of 121 N. West End Blvd., was arrested on a Scott City warrant for failure to appear.
  • J.J. Cooper, 22, of 205 S. Middle St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation and a Bollinger County warrant for probation violation.
  • Demetric L. Atchison, 31, of Charleston, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for parole violation and parole absconder.
  • A 14-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of being beyond parental control.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of driving while revoked and exceeding the speed limit.
  • Sonney J. Warren, 21, of 2816 Themis St., Apt. D., was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana and possession of drug parphernalia.
  • Michael B. Hinman, 26, of 2294 Route V, was arrested on a Caldwell County, Ky., warrant for nonsupport.

Assaults

  • A domestic assault was reported.

  • A domestic assault was reported.

Summons

  • David E. Spiker Jr., 19, of Arnold, Mo., received a summons for minor in possession of intoxicants.

Thefts

  • A concrete statue was reported stolen at 517 S. Sprigg St.
  • An instructor's training manual was reported stolen at 2136 William St.
  • A forgery was reported at 1105 Linden St.
  • A refrigerator and stove were reported reported at 216 S. Lorimier St.
  • A forgery was reported.
  • Fred's Discount Store, 121 S. Sprigg St., reported a theft.
  • Don's Store 24, 341 S. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.

Property damage

  • A door was reported damaged at 2819 Whitener St.

The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Sheriff's Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • David S. Babers, 29, of Cape Girardeau, was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault.
  • Cody D. Abernathy, 19, of Gordonville, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
  • Cole M. Humphrey, 21, of Pocahontas, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
  • Terry L. Hendrix, 27, of Sturdivant, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for passing bad checks.
  • Arthur A. Smith Jr., 21, of Cape Girardeau, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for driving while revoked and failure to drive on right half of roadway.

Jackson

Assaults

  • An assault was reported in the 100 block of East Mary Street.

Thefts

  • A burglary was reported in the 300 block of Cherry Street.
  • A theft was reported in the 600 block of West Independence Street.
  • A theft was reported in the 300 block of South Missouri Street.
  • A theft was reported in the 300 block of North Shawnee Boulevard.
  • A theft was reported in the 4100 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
  • A theft was reported in the 300 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Miscellaneous

  • A disturbance was reported in the area of North Farmington Road.
  • A disturbance was reported in the area of Oak Street.
  • A disturbance was reported in the 600 block of West Adams Street.
  • A disturbance was reported in the 1700 block of South Hope Street.
  • A disturbance was reported in the 100 block of East Mary Street.
