DWIs

* Stanley E. Hampton Jr. 25, 717 N. Middle St., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign and driving an unlicensed vehicle.

* Zachary R. Cook, 21, 302 E. Cape Rock Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a single lane of traffic.

* Terrence W. Lipps, 21, 1743 Lakeshore, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon.

Arrests

* Beverly K. Wanick, 48, 1110 William St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation, a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation for receiving stolen property and a Lincoln County warrant for probation violation for passing bad checks.

* Holly L. Swiney, 26, 210 S. Hanover St., Apt. 2, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer.

* A subject was in custody pending filing of formal charges of stealing.

* Shane A. Gostowski, 38, of Benton, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for improper registration.

* Brenda J. Mitchell, 49, of McClure, Ill., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

* Rachel E. Baker, 21, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for a seat belt violation.

* Terra E. Fowlkes, 22, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for a probation violation.

* Avery C. Whitney, 18, 646 S. Henderson Ave., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for prohibited acts.

* Clinton H. Brozton, 26, 810 Good Hope St., No. 6, was arrested on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear for a dog at large.

* Marie L. Gregson, 28, 1927 N. Kingshighway No. 6, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for speeding.

Summonses

* Angelina F. Whitney, 22, 646 S. Henderson Ave., received a summons for property damage.

* Martez D. Carter, 32, 543 Pacific St., received a summons for a leash-law violation.

Assault

* A domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

* Cape Girardeau reported a theft and damage to a park sign at East Cape Rock Drive and Cape Rock Circle.

* Rhodes 101, 546 S. Sprigg St., reported two thefts of gasoline.

Arrests

* Kimberly D. Hottes, 39, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to register a motor vehicle.

* Paul A. Winebarger, 56, of Gordonville was arrested on suspicion of third degree domestic assault.

* Steven N. Thomson, 32, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of driving with a restricted license.

* Leonardo Pena Jr., 34, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Southeast Missouri State University

The Southeast Missouri State University Department of Public Safety released the following item.

Theft

* Children's books were reported stolen at Grauel Building.
