Cape Girardeau
The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests
* Benjamin A. Durfey, 19, of Basking Ridge, N.J., was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer.
* Aaron W. Gordon, 19, 1022 Jefferson Ave., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for probation violation for sex offense, a Scott County warrant for failure to appear for passing bad checks and a New Madrid County warrant for probation violation for fraud.
Assault
* A domestic assault was reported.
Thefts
* A purse was reported stolen at 211 St. Francis Drive.
* A coat and hat were reported stolen at 150 S. Mount Auburn Road.
* Walmart, 3439 William St., reported a theft of cosmetics. Angelinta F. Whitney, 22, 646 S. Henderson Ave., was arrested in connection with the complaint.
* Walmart, 3439 William St., reported a theft of a speaker phone and an FM transmitter. Timothy A. Lovewell, 20, 1133 Lexington Ave., was arrested in connection with the complaint.
* Midwest Energy, 1320 W. Cape Rock Drive, reported a theft of gasoline.
Burglary
* A burglary and theft of change and jewelry were reported at 1402 Perry Ave.
Property damage
* Vehicle tires were reported damaged at 901 S. Sprigg St.
Miscellaneous
* A 44-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
* A 31-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
* Walmart, 3439 William St., reported trespassing.
* A 42-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
* A 42-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
Jackson
The Jackson Police Department released the following items.
Assault
* An assault was reported in the 300 block of Broadridge Drive.
Theft
* A theft was reported in the 1000 block of Shawnee Boulevard.
Property damage
* Three reports of property damage were received from the 100 block of West Adams Street.
