Arrests

  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of solicitation without a permit.
  • Joe E. Kindle, 49, of 1005 Jefferson Ave., was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of possession of cocaine.
  • Otis D. Rutherford, 20, of 630 S. Benton St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance.
  • Stanley C. Higgins, 39, of Eureka, Mo., was arrested on a Sikeston, Mo., warrant for failure to pay fines.
  • James J. Griffin, 56, of Portageville, Mo., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and cost for no operator's license and contempt of court for failure to pay fine and cost for flashing red light.
  • A 16-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of disturbing the peace by fighting.
  • Sammy E. Phillips, 45, of 1106 S. Sprigg St., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and cost for failure to appear for noise disturbance and prohibited acts/noise disturbance, contempt of court for failure to pay fine and cost for revoked operator's license and insurance identification card required and failure to appear for revoked operator's license.
  • Clark J. Ridenour, 45, of Puxico, Mo., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for failure to appear for no license.
  • A 16-year-old boy was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), possession of prescription medication on school property and failure to keep controlled substance in original container.
  • Nancy E. Merchant, 22, of 1207 N. Main St., was arrested on a Pevely, Mo., warrant for failure to appear for traffic offenses.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges on suspicion of stealing.
  • A subject is in custody pending filing of formal charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of imitation controlled substance and resisting by fleeing.
  • Patricia A. Cox, 45, of 422 Bellevue St., No. B, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for peace disturbance.
  • Pervis J. Boyd, IV, 24, of New Madrid, Mo., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for child neglect.

Summons

  • Scott E. Fast, 44, of 324 rear William St., received a summons for nuisance vehicle.
  • Chadrick B. Ferguson, of Olive Branch, Ill., received a summons for striking a stopped vehicle.
  • Nicholas J. Bird, 17, of 4 N. Pindwood, No. 4, received a summons for disturbing the peace by fighting.
  • Donald R. Stueve, of Rockwood, Ill., received a summons for failure to stop for steady red light.
  • Jacob A. Glastetter, of Chaffee, Mo., received a summons for improper backing.
  • Prudensio Martinez, of 1227 Independence St., No. 15, received a summons for no operator's license and failure to yield.
  • Brandon I. Francis, 21, of 2545 Maria Louise Lane, received a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Andrew D. Williams, 30, of 1305 William St., received a summons for possession of a controlled substance.

Thefts

  • Audio 2, 2100 William St., reported two forgeries.
  • Auto Trim Design Inc., 606 S. Kingshighway, reported the theft of a hauler trailer.
  • The Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors, 1301 N. Kingshighway, reported a burglary.
  • Allstate Insurance, 1301 N. Kingshighway, reported a burglary and property damage.
  • Bo Shantz State Farm Insurance, 1213 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of cash.
  • Cash was reported stolen at 1301 N. Kingshighway.
  • A computer, stereo receiver, watch and television were reported stolen at 611 North St.
  • Jaspers, 10 S. West End Blvd., reported a theft of gasoline.

Miscellaneous

  • Failure to maintain property free of litter and trash was reported.
  • A bicycle was reported found at 1225 Merriwether St.
  • Protective custody for a 41-year-old man was reported.
  • A false report was reported.
  • Failure to register as a sex offender was reported.

  • Bruce A. Smith, 23, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for assault.
  • Mandy M. Bond, 31, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for speeding.
  • Jerrica L. O'Kelly, 18, of Holt, Mich., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for minor visibly intoxicated.
  • Sammie T. Beason, 26, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a parole board warrant for parole violation for assault.
  • Joseph P. Cissell, 21, of Charleston, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation, minor visibly intoxicated; a Sikeston, Mo., warrant for contempt of court, DWI; and a Jefferson County warrant for failure to appear, passing bad check.
  • Jeannette L. Zuniga, 33, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for stealing.

Jackson

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Theft

  • A theft was reported in the 800 block of Strawberry Lane.

Property damage

  • Property was reported damaged in the 2800 block of Old Orchard Road.

Miscellaneous

  • Property was reported lost in the 200 block of North West Lane.
