POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- A three-vehicle accident in Butler County Friday afternoon resulted in the death of a Williamsville, Mo., man, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Ricky W. Keith Jr., 19, was pronounced dead at the scene by Butler County Coroner Larry Cotrell. The incident occurred seven miles north of Poplar Bluff.
According to the highway patrol, Keith, driving a 1986 BMW, crossed the center line, struck a 1986 Ford pickup driven by 62-year-old Charley E. Alexander of Williams-ville. Keith's vehicle then struck another vehicle, a 1990 Ford driven by 53-year-old Lois R. Reed of Williamsville, before coming to rest in a ditch.
Alexander and Reed were not injured.
Keith's passenger, Lynetta Keith, 37, of Williamsville, received minor injuries.
