Jackson police report 1/22/15

JACKSON

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Meekial L. Steele, 19, of Mounds, Illinois, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana under 35 grams.
• Keith B. Slinkard, 51, of Jackson was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance and assault.

Summonses

• Sean S. Byrd, 40, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.
• Jamie G. Welker, 41, of Sedgewickville, Missouri, was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.
• Thomas R. Proud, 35, of Jackson was issued summonses for speeding and operating a motor vehicle while operator's license revoked.
• Brian H. Shaver, 34, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.

Thefts

• Theft was reported in the 4100 block of East Jackson Boulevard.
• Theft was reported in the 3600 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Miscellaneous

• An assist was requested in the 600 block of August Street.
• Check the welfare was requested in the 2400 block of Winesap Drive.
