Jackson police and fire report 8/12/11

Police

The Jackson Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Merlyn F. Becker, 20, 615 August St., was arrested on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear and was issued summonses for speeding and failure to show proof of insurance.

* Joseph E. Benavente, 20, 606 Old Cape Road, was arrested on a Scott City warrant for failing to appear.

Summonses

* Gayla D. Schubert, 45, 614 Old Cape Road, was issued a summons for failing to register a motor vehicle.

* Courtney M. Baughn, 21, 1227 Cherokee Drive, was issued summonses for failing to register a motor vehicle.

Theft

* A theft was reported in the 500 block of West Main Street.

Miscellaneous

* A peace disturbance was reported in the 1100 block of Greensferry Road.

* A peace disturbance was reported on North Union.

* Two court-order violations were reported in the 500 block of South Hope Street.

Fire

Firefighters responded to the following calls Tuesday:

* A medical assist on Greensferry Road.

* A medical assist on Aaron Drive.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Wednesday:

* A medical assist on Luetje Street.

* Process drug lab on South Hope Street.

* A mutual aid on Broadway in Cape Girardeau.

* A rescue on East Main Street.
