* At 5:29 p.m., a motor vehicle accident at West End Boulevard and Shawnee Parkway.

* At 8 p.m., an extrication at the 98 mile marker of Interstate 55.

* At 8:04 p.m., an alarm in the 800 block of North Sprigg Street.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Wednesday:

* At 12:09 a.m., an alarm in the 3000 block of Cannon Lane.

* At 2:03 a.m., an alarm in the 2800 block of Independence Street.

* At 10:53 a.m., a vehicle fire at 180 Estate Drive.

* At 12:14 p.m., a vehicle fire at Independence and Broadview streets.

* At 1:02 p.m., emergency medical service in the 3400 block of William Street.

* At 1:02 p.m., emergency medical service in the 700 block of William Street.

* At 1:51 p.m., an alarm in the 2400 block of Themis Street.

* At 2:02 p.m., a citizen assist at 360 S. Mount Auburn Road.
