Cape Girardeau

The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

* James R. Lingle, 67, of McClure, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Arrest

* Christopher T. Latka, 25, of Makanda, Ill., was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for improper registration and speeding.

Assault

* A subject was taken into custody and released, pending filing of formal charges on assault.

Thefts

* A DVD player, VCR and VHS tapes were reported stolen at 806 Themis St.

* Rhodes 101 Stop, 2109 William St., reported gasoline stolen.

Miscellaneous

* Sexual abuse was reported.

* Littering was reported at 116 N. West End Blvd. A 16-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court, and Benjamin B. Golden, 17, of 2540 Benton Hill Road, was issued a summons in connection with the complaint.

* Littering was reported at 616 Broadway. Benjamin B. Golden, 17, of 2540 Benton Hill Road, was issued a summons in connection with the complaint.
