Arrests

Maylon Darrell Phelps, 42, of Benton, Mo., was arrested Sunday for failing to show proof of insurance, operating a motor vehicle while improperly registered, striking a legally stopped vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

Terry Lee Baugher, 29, of Tamms, Ill., was arrested Sunday for operating a motor vehicle without a license, possessing a controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Steven Benjamin Garner, 17, of 1715 Westridge was arrested Sunday for possession of marijuana with an intent to distribute and possession of prescription medication.

Dennis Everett Banks, 27, of 2432 Glenridge was arrested Sunday on three warrants for passing bad checks.

Steven Ray Hanks Sr., 31, of Oran, Mo., was arrested Sunday at Kidds, for assault, stealing and property damage.

Burglary

A burglary in which checks were stolen was reported Sunday at 3120 Independence.

An assault was reported Sunday.
