The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWIs

  • Benjamin R. Gates, 27, 34 N. Park Ave., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, five counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Robert J. James, 21, 2555 Lisa Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

Arrests

  • Ryan A. Nabors, 18, 904 S. Ellis St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.
  • Timothy S. Hunter, 47, 526 S. Benton St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for driving while intoxicated.
  • A subject was in custody pending filing of formal charges of theft of a motor vehicle and assault.
  • Shemiah L. Carter, 25, 2819 Whitener St., Apt. A3, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation for driving while intoxicated and a Cape Girardeau warrant for property damage.
  • Tamara D. Lentz, 34, 2802 Independence St., Apt. 5, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  • Anthony A. Howard, 27, 420 S. Ellis St., was arrested on suspicion of driving while revoked and resisting arrest.
  • Ryan N. Curey, 33, 1212 Good Hope St., was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Angela R. Curey, 36, of 1212 Good Hope St., was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Laura J. Stevens, 26, of Perryville, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court for failure to pay a fine for violating a steady red light.
  • Bobbie J. Mosley, 48, 521 S. Middle St., Apt. D, was arrested on a warrant.
  • Jameka J. Easton, 22, of Charleston, Mo., was arrested on a warrant.
  • Karla H. Stroehlein, 36, of Murphysboro, Ill., was arrested on four Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fines for suspended operator's license, no proof of insurance, improper registration and stealing.
  • A subject was in custody pending filing of formal charges of tampering with a motor vehicle.

Assault

  • An assault was reported.

Burglary

  • An attempted burglary was reported at 315 S. Lorimier St. A screen door was reported damaged.

Thefts

  • A purse was reported stolen at 341 N. Main St.
  • Checks were reported stolen at 232 Shirley Drive.
  • Rhodes 101, 449 S. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Rhodes 101, 2109 William St., reported three incidents of gasoline theft.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Rhodes 101, 1624 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Pizza Hut, 2829 Themis St., reported a theft. Allen R. Walker, 18, of 624 Louis St., received a summons in connection with the complaint.

Property damage

  • Trespassing and property damage were reported.

Miscellaneous

  • Harassing telephone calls were reported.
  • Endangering the welfare of a child was reported.
