Cape Girardeau

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jose S. Martinez, 23, of 3019 Themis St., was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, operating motor vehicle without headlights and driving with suspended license.
  • Leshieka M. Hollis, 22, of Sikeston, Mo., was arrested on suspicion of stealing.
  • Gary W. Proffer, 31, of 548 S. Hanover St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and cost for harassment.
  • Geneva Y. Madden, of 801 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation for no driver's license.
  • Joanna Lawler, 20, of 2806 Independence St., was arrested on a Jefferson City, Mo., warrant for probation violation parole absconder.

Assault

  • Domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

  • A bicycle was reported stolen at 321 S. West End Blvd.
  • Rhodes 101, of 2109 William St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • A wallet was reported stolen at 35 S. Kingshighway.
  • Jaspers, of 1008 N. Kingshighway, reported a theft of gasoline.

Property damage

  • A broken vehicle window was reported at 1502 Independence St.
  • A door and walls were reported damaged at 1112 West Mount Drive.
