The following items have been released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests Brian K. Vogel, 37, 417 S. Pacific St., was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing in connection with the theft of a bicycle from 401 S. Pacific St.
Michael L. Chambers, 23, 704 High St., Marble Hill, Mo., was arrested Wednesday on city warrants for speeding, driving on a suspended license and no seatbelt.
Christopher J. Cook, 18, 407 Cape St., Scott City, was arrested Wednesday on a city warrant for probation violation and driving on a suspended license.
Montica L. Babers, 28, 274 Lindsey Lane, Jackson, was arrested Wednesday on a city warrant for no seatbelt.
Ruthoni M. Cornelius, 20, 817 McBride, Cairo, Ill., was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing in connection with the theft of clothing from Famous Barr, 100 West Park Mall.
John P. Bowers, 23, 529 S. Ellis St., was arrested Wednesday on city warrants for contempt of court for failure to pay fine and costs, driving on a suspended license, and failure to appear in court; and on a Jefferson City, Mo., warrant for being a parole absconder.
Michael E. Young, 42, 5284 County Road 525, Jackson, was arrested Wednesday on a city warrant for failure to appear in court for stealing.
Robert D. Shield, 23, 1423 Luce St., Apt. 2, was arrested Thursday on a Ste. Genevieve County warrant for failure to appear.
Billy Joe McGee, 32, 1437 N. Main St., was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
Thefts
Gasoline was reported stolen Wednesday from Shell D-Mart, 3415 William St.
Cash was reported stolen Wednesday from 1210 Perryville Road.
Two license plates were reported stolen from Blattner Steel Co., 2100 Rust Ave.
Speaker boxes with 10-inch sub-woofers, speakers and a radar detector were reported stolen Wednesday from 3093 William St.
A basement door was damaged and a lawnmower and air conditioning unit were reported stolen Thursday from 1827 Bloomfield Road.
A cash register, gum machine and safe were damaged and money reported stolen Thursday from Candy Cane Cleaners, 1 Plaza Way.Property damage
Mailboxes were reported damaged Wednesday at 2525 Boutin Drive, and at 2836, 2784, 2764, 2760, 2744, and 2740 Lynnwood Hills Drive.
Miscellaneous
Rent One furniture, 610 S. Kings-highway, reported the failure to return rental furniture, a computer, a television and stereo Wednesday.
A firearm was reported found in the city limits Wednesday.
A 1992 red Chevrolet was reported towed Thursday from Nash Road and Interstate 55.
