The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do no imply guilt.

Arrests

Will Olden, 49, of 404 Kimball, Malden, Mo., was arrested Sunday on a city of Malden warrant for failure to appear.

Maylon Phelps, 28, of 116 N. Park, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Sunday on a Scott City warrant for failure to appear and a probation violation.

Assaults

Assault was reported Sunday at Jefferson and Ellis.

Assault was reported Sunday on South Sprigg.

Thefts

Wal-Mart reported wires and a drill bit stolen Sunday at 3439 William. Ryan Joseph Mercurio of 1324 N. Sprigg, Apt. 3, Cape Girardeau, was arrested on suspicion of stealing in connection with the compliant.

A Little Tykes tricycle was reported stolen Sunday at Shawnee Trail.

Hucks reported a 24-pack of Busch Lite stolen Sunday at 353 S. Kingshighway.

Burglaries

A burglary was reported Sunday in the 300 block of Albert. Nothing was taken.

An attempted burglary was reported at 20 S. Pacific. Nothing was taken.

A burglary and property damage of vehicle brakes were reported Sunday at 1745 Anna.

Property damage

A car window was reported broken out Sunday at 327 N. Frederick.

A driver's side fender was reported damaged Sunday at 24 S. Spanish.

Miscellaneous

Property was reported found Sunday at Benton and Good Hope.

A 39-year-old male was taken into protective custody Sunday at the 800 block of Themis.

A 53-year-old male was taken into protective custody Sunday at the 700 block of South Kingshighway.

A leash-law violation was reported Sunday at 213 S. Middle.
