Arrests

  • A suspect was in custody pending filing of formal charges of forcible rape and domestic assault.
  • A suspect was in custody pending filing of formal charges of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
  • Joseph D. Haven, 27, of Oak Ridge was arrested on a De Soto County warrant for failure to appear.
  • A suspect was in custody pending filing of formal charges of shoplifting at Gymboree, 3049 William St.
  • Caleb J. Yount, 25, of Jackson was arrested on two Cape Girardeau County warrants for violation of an order of protection.
  • Verna K. Gipson, 54, of 45 S. West End Blvd. was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance.

DWI

  • William R. Stacer III, no age given, of Patton, Missouri, was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a single lane and driving with no proof of insurance.
  • Jay Dieu, 32, 1932 Rock Creek, was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated and violation of a steady red light.

  • Elanie L. Fraser, 19, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to stop for a stopped school bus.
  • Toby K. Adams, 22, and Natalie A. Leible, 27, both of Scott City were issued summonses for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Candice H. Snider, no age given, of Chaffee, Missouri, was issued a summons for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
  • Ayanna D. DePree, 17, 917 N. Fountain St., was issued a summons for shoplifting at JCPenney, 3049 William St.
  • Edwin J. Peetz, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to yield.

Assault

  • Assault was reported at 1403 N. Sprigg St.

Thefts

  • A handgun was reported stolen at 1640 Westwood Drive.
  • A Missouri license plate was reported stolen from a motor vehicle.

Miscellaneous

  • An animal bite was reported at 211 Saint Francis Drive.
  • A 54-year-old woman was placed in protective custody for a peace disturbance.
