The following items were released by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
Arrests Chad D. Valenti, 24, of 921 Hackberry was arrested Wednesday on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear.
A 19-year-old male was placed in protective custody Thursday.
David K. Reeves, 53, of 1029 S. Ellis, was arrested Thursday on a Cape Girardeau warrant for contempt of court.
Summonses Brandon R. Pender of 2427 Melrose received a summons Wednesday for following another vehicle too closely.
Kevin S. Fowler, 23, and Erin L. Walker, 21, both of Route 1, Box 62, Gideon, Mo., received summonses Wednesday for stealing.
John J. Kelly, 47, of 919 E. Rodney, received a summons Thursday for stealing.
Assaults A subject was placed in custody Wednesday pending the filing of formal charges for domestic assault.
Child abuse was reported Thursday to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Thefts Cash, cigarettes, an ATM card and gas were reported stolen Wednesday at 2346 Broadway.
A purse and contents were reported stolen Wednesday at 1701 Lacey.
Portable audio devices were reported stolen Wednesday at 164 Siemers Drive.
DVDs, a purse, a wallet, a knife and clothing were reported stolen Wednesday by Kmart at 11 S. Kingshighway.
Burglary Checks were reported stolen in a burglary reported Wednesday at 531 Boxwood.
Property damage
A vehicle was reported damaged Wednesday at the 800 block of South Ellis.
A windowpane on a door was reported damaged Wednesday at 55 N. Pacific.
Furniture was reported damaged Wednesday at 605 N. Themis.Miscellaneous
A counterfeit $100 bill was reported Wednesday at the Missouri Department of Revenue License Bureau.
A 42-year-old female attempted suicide Wednesday.
A wallet was reported found Thursday at 1126 N. Sprigg.
A bicycle was reported found Thursday at 541 S. Benton.
A blue 1987 Toyota Camry was reported abandoned Thursday in the 700 block of Broadway.
