DWI

* Carlos L. Hemphill, 23, of 2757 Lynwood Hills Drive, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, failure to display license plate light and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

Arrests

* Johnathan L. Lockridge, 18, of 814 Morgan Oak St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for peace disturbance and on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for walking in the street and walking in the street.

* Charlene Y. Latham, 23, of Joplin, Mo., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for seat belt violation.

* Demetrius D. Clary, 38, of Cairo, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of false declaration.

* Reginald W. Nunn, 35, of Blytheville, Ark., was arrested on Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for driving while intoxicated, and failure to appear for no operator's license.

* Lorenza W. Goza, 33, of 2094 Old Toll Road in Jackson, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for selling cocaine, on a Jackson warrant for failure to appear for traffic violation and on a Charleston, Mo., warrant for failure to appear for liquor violation.

* Melvin E. Jones, 49, of Thebes, Ill., was arrested on suspicion of speeding, unlicensed driver and false declaration.

Thefts

* Jasper's Convenience Store, 10 S. West End Blvd., reported the theft of liquor.

* A wallet was reported stolen at 64 S. Plaza Way.

* A guitar was reported stolen at 17 S. Hanover St.

* Guitars were reported stolen at 2025 Kenneth Drive.

Burglary

* A burglary and theft of jewelry were reported at 2825 Whitener St.

Property damage

* A mailbox was reported damaged at 1616 Greenbriar Drive.

Jackson

The following items were released by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrest

* Jill M. Moye, 27, of 1600 Bloomfield St. in Cape Girardeau was arrested on suspicion of fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance and passing bad checks.

Summonses

* Kyle J. Rees, 19, of 3520 Ridge Road, received a summons for careless and imprudent driving.

* Jeffrey J. Ford, 35, of 1225 Brandom St., received a summons for failure to register a motor vehicle.

* Nicholas A. Abernathy, 17, of 275 W. Forester Drive, received a summons for failure to yield right of way.

Assaults

* An assault was reported. A 14-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court in connection with the complaint.

* An assault was reported. A 16-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court in connection with the complaint.

* An assault was reported in the 200 block of North West Lane.

* An assault was reported in the 100 block of Morgan Street.

Theft

* Fuel was reported stolen in the 900 block of West Independence Street.

Property damage

* A restroom was reported damaged in City Park.

Southeast Missouri State University

The following items were released by the Southeast Department of Public Safety.

* An iPod was reported stolen at Towers East.
