Arrests

Michael A. Sherrod, 32, of 616 Sycamore, Apt. 117, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Tuesday on a Dunklin County warrant for nonsupport and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and failure to stop at a stop sign.

Joshua D. Whirl, 20, of 539 S. Pacific, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Tuesday on Cape Girardeau County warrants for probation violation and failure to appear.

Rayburn Cowan Jr., 30, of 523 S. Benton, Cape Girardeau, was arrested Wednesday on Cape Girardeau warrants for contempt of court.

A suspect was placed in custody Wednesday pending the filing of formal charges for possession of a controlled substance.

Summonses

Kyle W. Suhre of 625 County Road 607, Jackson, received a summons Tuesday for following another vehicle too closely.

Lyndsey R. Cook of 1135 County Highway 416, Oran, Mo., received a summons Tuesday for failure to yield.

Cynthia S. Davis of 806 Themis, Apt. 1, Cape Girardeau, received a summons Tuesday for following another vehicle too closely.Thefts

Clothing was reported stolen and a vehicle damaged Tuesday at 1400 N. Sprigg.

A bow, arrows, a bow case and miscellaneous items were reported stolen Tuesday at 2233 Kent.

A red 2000 Dodge Dakota truck was reported stolen Thursday by Auffenberg Chrysler at 611 S. Kingshighway.

Gasoline was reported stolen Tuesday by Rhodes 101 at 1126 N. Sprigg.

Jewelry was reported stolen Tuesday by Famous Barr at 100 West Park Mall. A 15-year-old male was cited to juvenile court for stealing.

Cigarettes were reported stolen Tuesday at 3276 William.

Burglary

Cash and cigarettes were reported stolen in a burglary Wednesday at Ole Hickory Pitts at 333 N. Main.Property damage

A roof was reported damaged Tuesday by Christ Episcopal Church at 101 N. Fountain.

A vehicle was reported damaged Tuesday at 200 West Park Mall.

A vehicle was reported damaged Tuesday at the 3000 block of Gordonville Road.

A vehicle was reported damaged Tuesday at 252 Siemers Drive.

Windows were reported damaged Tuesday at 717 Jefferson.

A vehicle was reported damaged Wednesday at Sprigg and Broadway.

A CD player and radio were reported damaged Wednesday at 72 N. Lake.

Summonses

Delena M. Maupin, 58, of 4002 Ridge Road, Jackson, received a summons Tuesday for failure to obey a stop sign.

Two 16-year-old females were issued summonses Wednesday for possession of tobacco products.Miscellaneous

Child abuse was reported Tuesday in the 1600 block of West Independence.

A report of found property was made Tuesday in the 2200 block of East Jackson Boulevard.

Careless and imprudent driving was reported Tuesday at South Old Orchard Road and Old Cape Road.

Problems with power lines and poles were reported Wednesday.
