Cape Girardeau

The following items were reported by the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • A subject is in custody of formal charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and without using a turn signal and failure to maintain single lane of travel.
  • Travis Riggs, 17, of 1013 Elm St., was arrested on suspicion of tampering with a motor vehicle.
  • Jeremy S. Huff, 27, of 322 Merriweather St., No.1, and Elizabeth S. Scheffer, 26, of 322 Merriwether St., were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Weston T. Loveland, 23, of 2002 Dunklin St., was arrested on a O'Fallon, Mo., warrant for soliciting without a license, a Clarkson Valley warrant for soliciting without a license and a Town And Country, Mo., warrant for soliciting without a license.
  • A subject is in custody pending formal charges of leaving the scene of an accident, a motor vehicle accident, failure to drive on right half of roadway, no proof of insurance, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, no seat belt and careless and imprudent driving.
  • A subject is in custody pending formal charges of no operator's license, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and resisting arrest by fleeing.
  • Richard D. White, 23, of 717 N. Sprigg St., was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, peace disturbance and assault.
  • William C. Walley, 34, of 1040 N. Fountain St., was arrested on a Festus, Mo., warrant for failure to appear for driving while suspended.
  • Jason E. Cooper, 33, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for speeding.
  • Kimberly M. Bauer, 39, of Jackson was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for probation violation.
  • Richard J. Brown Jr., 53, 2709 Hawthorne Road, was arrested on suspicion of stealing.

Assaults

  • An assault and armed criminal action were reported.
  • An assault was reported.
  • A domestic assault was reported.

Summonses

  • Philip J. Howard, 25, of 230 N. Ellis St., received a summons for failure to maintain property free of trash and litter.
  • Shana L. Windisch, 33, of 144 S. West End Blvd., received a summons for animal at large.

Theft

  • A cell phone was reported stolen at 3049 William St.
  • Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Fraudulent use of a credit device over the Internet was reported.
  • Texas Roadhouse, 13 Doctor's Park Drive, reported a theft of cash.
  • An EBT card and cash were reported stolen at 3002 Themis St., No. 3.
  • Hibbett Sports, 2136 William St., reported a stolen CB and damage to vehicle.
  • Roger Shell, 115 N. Franklin Ave., reported a burglary.
  • Rhodes 101, 2109 William St., reported a theft of gasoline.
  • Denny's, 161 West Drive, reported a theft of cash.
  • American Motors, 2210 Broadway, reported a car stereo and amplifiers stolen and vehicle damage.

Property damage

  • Cape Auto Pool, 1238 Meadowbrook Lane, reported doors and a window broken.

Miscellaneous

  • Failure to contain silt and mud on a vacant lot was reported.
  • Violation of an ex parte order was reported.

Jackon

The following items were reported by the Jackson Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Thefts

  • A burglary was reported in the 600 block of North High Street.

Miscellaneous

  • A domestic dispute was reported in the 1500 block of Old Cape Road.
