The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWIs

  • Thayla C. Garcia, 23, 415 Sheridan Drive, was arrested at 100 S. Main St. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
  • Charges are pending against a suspect for driving while intoxicated at 300 Independence St.

Arrests

  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault and endangering the welfare of a child in the 800 block of Independence Street.
  • Walter D. Combs, 49, 1140 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant and issued a summons for trespassing in the 600 block of Themis Street.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of theft of a firearm, false declaration and resisting arrest at 546 S. Sprigg St.
  • Jacob D. Jungers, 27, 2500 Windy Hill Lane, was arrested at Good Hope Street and Louisiana Avenue on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Peyton E. Ivie, 24, of East Prairie, Missouri, was arrested on a Scott City warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation and faces charges of false declaration at 211 S. Kingshighway.
  • Elvaunte D. Bland, 24, 1136 S. Pacific St., was arrested at North Water Street and Broadway on a warrant and on suspicion of false declaration and resisting arrest.
  • Gregory Lee Nicholson, 47, 2849 Themis St., was arrested at Bloomfield Street and South Spring Avenue on a Perry County, Missouri, warrant.
  • Julia Marie Niemira, 20, 2021 Lacey St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant.
  • Pamela G. Simmers, 58, of Bell City, Missouri, was arrested at Themis and North Spanish streets on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Bobby Lee Ford Jr., 37, 525 S. Frederick St., was arrested at Good Hope and South Hanover streets on a warrant.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance at Themis and North Spanish streets.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of domestic assault in the 500 block of North Sprigg Street.
  • Tabitha N. McCutchen, 38, 1422 N. West End Blvd., was arrested at 353 S. Kingshighway on a warrant.
  • Shanitra Carter, 34, of St. Louis was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant.

Charges

  • Charges are pending against a suspect of domestic assault.

Summonses

  • Abdul M. Alkatanani, 20, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for liquor laws-possession of intoxicants at William and South Spanish streets.
  • David Lee Massey, 55, of Scott City was issued a summons for animal abuse at 3439 William St.
  • Teren Deboe, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summonses for possession of a controlled summons at Broadway and Walker Street.

  • Theft was reported at 3439 William St.

  • Property damage was reported at 353 S. Kingshighway.

Miscellaneous

  • Counterfeit bills were reported at 3039 William St.
  • A 21-year-old man was taken into protective custody on Sheridan Drive.
  • A man was taken into protective custody on South Henderson Avenue.
  • Trespassing was reported at 926 William St.
  • Animals were declared a nuisance at 231 S. Spanish St.
  • A weapons violation was reported at 740 W. Rodney Drive.
  • Request for service was made at 3439 William St.
  • Interference with custody was reported.
  • Counterfeiting was reported at 3439 William St.
  • Second-degree rape was reported.
