The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Melvin Dancy Jr., 44, homeless, was arrested on four Cape Girardeau warrants for three counts of failure to appear for driving while suspended and no insurance.
  • Victor L. Timothy, 20, of Caruthersville, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for a traffic offense.
  • Austin E. Bush, 25, of Scott City was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for a traffic offense.
  • Daniel R. Pieper, 48, 324 William St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for failure to register a motor vehicle.
  • Jesse C. Rush, 34, of Sikeston, Missouri, was arrested on a New Madrid County warrant for violation of an order of protection.
  • Deontai J. Cooper, 23, 1122 Big Bend Road, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for a seat-belt violation.
  • Arthur N. Welch Jr., 36, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, was arrested on two counts of failure to appear for dangerous drugs.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
  • Raquel E. Welch, 25, 801 Good Hope St., Apt. 20, was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for failure to appear for contempt of court for speeding and a suspended operator's license.
  • Michael A. Hill, 23, 1135 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation.
  • Corey A. Hill, 21, 1135 S. Pacific St., was arrested on a Union County warrant for failure to appear.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of driving without a valid license, failure to yield, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to drive on the right half of the road and careless and imprudent driving.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Summonses

  • Peggy J. Sample, no age given, of Perryville, Missouri, was issued a summons for making an improper turn.
  • Crystal D. Hager, 24, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Ashvin M. Patel, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to drive within a single lane.

  • Medication, a lockbox and money were reported stolen in a burglary at 709 North St.

  • Shoes, makeup, cologne and other items were reported stolen at Kohl's, 315 Shirley Drive.

  • A wallet was reported stolen at 1911 Ritter Drive.
  • Clothing was reported stolen at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Three bicycles were reported stolen at 1425 Whitener St.
  • Fishing poles and a chain saw were reported stolen at 2408 Masters Drive.

  • A request for service was reported.
