The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• Chasity R. Harris, 37, of Scott City was arrested on a Bollinger County, Missouri, warrant for no seat belt.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault on medical personnal at 1701 Lacey St.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver's license and improper lighting at Themis Street and North Park Avenue.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of stealing at Kmart, 11 S. Kingshighway.
• John R. Bland, 29, no address given, was arrested at Kiwanis Park on a Perry County, Missouri, warrant for failure to appear for a seatbelt violation.
• Justin A. Ramos, 26, no address given, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at 1927 Starview Court.
• A suspect was in custody pending charges of driving while revoked at Bloomfield and Pacific streets.

Assault

• Second-degree assault was reported.

Miscellaneous

• Forgery was reported at 1602 N. Kingshighway.
• Child abuse was reported at 353 S. Kingshighway.
