CAPE GIRARDEAU

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance at 515 North St.
• Gina Betts, 31, of Charleston, Missouri, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for no insurance.

Charges

• Charges are pending on a suspect for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and improper registration at Normal Avenue and Park Street.

Summonses

• Donnie Lewis, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for nuisance party and peace disturbance at 1710 N. Sprigg St.
• Hayden Hennignsen, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for being a minor in possession of alcohol at 632 Broadway.

Assaults

• Third-degree domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon were reported in the 400 block of Bellevue Street.
• Assault was reported at Themis Street and Pind Wood Lane.

Burglaries

• The Venue, 80 S. Plaza Way, reported burglary.
• Concepts Salon, 107 West Drive, reported burglary.

Thefts

• Shoplifting, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and resisting arrest were reported at Walmart, 3439 William St.
• Show Me Laundry, 1225 William St., reported stealing and property damage.

Property damage

• Property damage was reported at 1000 S. Silver Springs Road.

Miscellaneous

• A 29-year-old man was taken into protective custody in the 1900 block of Delwin Street.
• Child abuse was reported.
• A 63-year-old woman was taken into protective custody at West End Boulevard and Independence Street.
