The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • Daniel W. Hughes, no age given, of Jackson was arrested at U.S. 61 and Lexington Avenue on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Arrests

  • Dustin L. Motsinger, 38, of Herrin, Illinois, was arrested on suspicion of stealing clothing at Macy's, 3029 William St.
  • Tyler L. Ober, 24, 1420 Good Hope St., was arrested at 3439 William St. on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
  • Jahod J. Paster, 25, of St. Louis was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for improper registration.
  • Tracy K. Williams, 51, of Scott City was arrested at South Kingshighway and South Silver Springs Road on suspicion of failure to display plates and driving while revoked/suspended.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance, possesion of drug paraphernalia and trespassing at Boulevard Apartments, 45 S. West End Blvd.

Burglary

  • Burglary and the theft of tools were reported at 2038 Woodlawn Ave.

Thefts

  • A license plate was reported stolen at 1410 S. Sprigg St.
  • A Generac 10K watts generator was reported stolen at MidAmerica Hotels Corp., 3257 William St.
  • Two vacuum cleaners were reported stolen at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Gain detergent was reported stolen at Dollar General, 64 S. Plaza Way.

Miscellaneous

  • Tresspassing was reported at 2906 Park West Heights Drive.
