The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrest

• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

Summonses

• Kimberly K.W. Schott, 54, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for animal leash-law violation.
• Samuel L. Brown, 53, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for shoplifting and receiving stolen property at Target, 202 Siemers Drive.
• Brian S. Perry, 49, homeless, was issued a summons for shoplifting and receiving stolen property at Target, 202 Siemers Drive.

Assault

• Domestic assault and felonious restraint were reported.

Thefts

• Stealing from a motor vehicle was reported at 1927 N. Kingshighway.
• A wallet and its contents were reported stolen from a motor vehicle at 329 N. Park St.
• A wallet and its contents were reported stolen at 920 N. Kingshighway.
• A motor vehicle was reported stolen at the intersection of Normal Avenue and Alta Vista Drive.
• Jewelry was reported stolen at 113 N. Frederick St.

Miscellaneous

• Animal abuse was reported on South Sprigg Street.
• Endangering the welfare of a child was reported.
